I Love My Job

I don’t write about what I do for a living enough, but I truly love my job.  I work for Bridgeline Digital for the Digital Strategy Group (DSG), which is the team that rocks at creating Digital Strategies for things like SEO, user experience, content strategy, social media strategy, email marketing, keyword research and a lot more that I know that I’m missing.

But I think our little crew is unique (Bridgeline isn’t little, just the DSG… but we do the work for all of the company).  We’re unique because we go above and beyond just basic recommendations.  For example, a lot of SEO companies give monthly reports that show a list of keywords, but what do you do with those keywords and their rankings?  What does it mean for you?  We help our clients decipher that information and also help them learn more about how their content is doing and how users are interacting with their website – it’s is truly above and beyond what I’ve ever seen before.

One of our latest clients is going through a new site build, which includes our group helping our developers make sure that the site is SEO friendly when it goes live.  We also wrote all of the content, which went through an extensive voice and branding exercise before it was ever written.  I can’t show you statistics, but doing this with past clients has showed absolutely amazing results with increased traffic and branding in the search engines.

Okay, I know it seems like I’m plugging Bridgeline, but when it comes to this type of data and results, I absolutely love it!  Yeah, I like cooking, crafting, playing with the kiddos too, but for a job that I have to drag myself to 40+ hours a week, this one doesn’t seem like a drag to work at all… plus they spoil us with food – that’s always a plus in my book!

So I’ll end this post in saying thank you to Becki Dilworth (head-honchoess extraordinaire)  for giving me the freedom to explore what I do and improve on it, and thank you to the rest of my team for being so open and absolutely amazing at what you do!
